富士山落石事故で応急対策

富士宮市の富士山新５合目で落石が駐車場の車を直撃し、男性１人が死亡した事故で、管理する県の富士土木事務所は現場にバリケードを設置するなどの応急対策に着手しました。１３日夜の落石事故では、富士山新５合目の駐車場に７合目付近から直径１．２メートル、重さ１トンの岩が転がり落ち、止まっていたキャンピングカーを直撃し、車内にいた奈良県の男性（６８）が死亡しました。
富士土木事務所は１５日夕に会見し、応急対策として現場の破壊されたフェンスの周囲約５０メートルに、高さ１６０センチほどの大型の土のうを積み上げることにし、立ち入り禁止のバリケードを設置したことを明らかにしました。フェンスの修復については２０日までに終えたいとしています。
現在、周辺の道約９００メートルが通行止めとなっていて、新５合目付近の駐車スペースは５５０台から２００台分に減少しています。県では恒久的な対策についても学識経験者らを交えて工法を検討し、早急に実施したいとしています。
